PHYSICAL FEATURES

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1,Dehu Road , Pune , one of the oldest schools , is located just off the Mumbai-Pune Highway,  25 km.from Pune railway station. The nearest railway station is at Dehu Road which is 2 km. away from the school.

The school covers an area of about 15 acres. It has two double storeyed  and two single storeyed structures, comprising  six wings, to conduct scholastic and non- scholastic activities. It has well equipped, fully functional computer labs. Separate departmental rooms for Examination, CCA, Yoga, Games and Sports, Social Sciences, Music and SUPW are available for the over-all development of our students. A recently developed Language Room and Mathematics Lab will go a long way in enriching the linguistic and mathematical abilities of our students. Well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and a Junior Science Lab help in inculcating a scientific temper in our students.  The school library, enriched with updated books , magazines, journals , brochures, etc. has a total of 8154 books to inculcate reading habits among our students. Our Vidyalaya has large playgrounds that help channelize the energy of the young talents by promoting physical fitness and sports of a large variety.
